Atsutaka Unno "A Picturesque Scenery"
This event has ended.
At Gallery Raku
Media: Painting
Umino has produced paintings that explore the human body. As a student, Umino held strong interest towards mannequins that he used in a project. Through this discovery, he began exploring the use of the human body and how it can relate to society. As individuals living in society, we constantly build human relationships that at times can get complicated. Using the body, a subject that we are rather familiar with, in his art was a way for the artist to digest problems that he faced in real life. The depicted figures are in fact that of the artist himself.
The title of the exhibition, "a Picturesque Scenery" contains the meaning of reflecting on the past and seeing its beauty.
