On the theme of acquiring new images of the body, Takayuki Okamoto uses his own body to build sculptures. His representative series "Xman", a sophisticated work using creativity and physical balance, received the 10th Media Arts Festival Agency for Cultural Affairs award and has gained much recognition in the Kansai area. This exhibition features his new work "Ichininriki (One Man's Power)", a long term project where he moves a mountain by himself. He invents a unit "Ichininriki" and visualizes it in an installation where a mountain is built by him. In addition, a new version of the "Xman" series will be on display.
