"The Legendary Hero, Yoshitsune" Exhibition

This event has ended.
At Saiku Historical Museum
Media: Painting, Other, Art Talk

Yoshitsune Minamoto, is a historic hero that everyone knows. There is probably no person who has grasped our hearts and left countless legends until today.
Episodes such as his youth with a nickname "Ushiwakamaru," training in Kurama, encountering Benkei; conflicts at Ichinoya and Dannoura in the midst of the Genpei wars; women who surround him such as Tokiwa, Shizu, Jorururi princess; and his successful war tactics during the Kinukawa war which allowed him to expand up to the Tohoku region. Such legends remain strong inspiration in our hearts.
The exhibition will display these countless legends through screens, scrolls and picture books.
