Hakurei Morisaki Exhibition

This event has ended.
At Asago Art Village
Media: Painting

Hakurei Morisaki (1899-1992) said, "In rural Japanese landscapes, relationships and daily life, there is a certain type of happiness that is been forgotten in contemporary Japanese society. I make it my lifework to investigate this beauty through drawing." Morisaki has produced many Japanese paintings on the theme of rural landscapes, especially focusing on the Hyogo and Kyoto areas. By introducing his paintings and his values, the exhibition shows the importance of living with nature in peace.
