The exhibition features works by two young photographers, Akira Mitamura and Shinji Endo. Endo explores his own town, Kuzuha, by taking images and questioning how the city recognizes its presence. In comparison to Endo's images, which seem to physically scratch the cityscape, Mitamura takes images of Hiroshima in an orthodox snapshot-based way. The images of Hiroshima may seem rather impersonal, despite the city's historical significance. Through these cityscapes, the two photographers explore how photography can document and influence a city's presence and history.
