Art Talk "In Case of Doubt: Artistic Strategies between Art Institutions and Urban Space"

This event has ended.
At The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto
Media: Art Talk

Secession, built by Joseph Maria Olbrich as the headquarters of the Vienna Secession at the end of the nineteenth century, has not only become a prominent landmark of Vienna but also a venue hosting the activities of contemporary artists. The present director of Secession, Barbara Holub, is an artist herself. She also has many ongoing projects such as “transparadiso,” with fellow members Paul Rajakovics and Bernd Vlay. On this occasion, Holub will speak about artistic strategies in relation to art institutions and to interventions in the urban sphere—a hot topic in Europe today—providing both Austrian and international examples to illustrate her point.

Lecturer: Barbara Holub (director of Secession, artist)

The lecture will be conducted in English with Japanese translation.
