"The title 'Kamon (Flower Symbol)' is taken from Kamon (House Symbol) that expresses a family's roots. However the concept of my work does not have such deep meaning. Flowers and fruits interest me because the shapes, colors and textures are limitless and they never tire me. They intrigue me because they are fragile, beautiful and at times grotesque. By simplifying the flowers' and fruits' characteristics, they have become my posession and I envision myself surrounded by them."
