This exhibition will focus on the year 1989. This was a year in which one felt the social changes that happened alongside the changing of the era name to Heisei, and with the death of Osamu Tezuka, the year was a significant one for the manga world as well.
The exhibition will feature the depiction of those social changes in manga and will also investigate what kind of year the first year of the Heisei period was for manga history.
