This exhibition features Kimura's new photographic series "Fish", continuing like her previous "Distance" series to show her distinctiveness and rich, intricate sensitivity. One often sees tropical fish being raised in fish tanks but it was Kimura's personal ideas regarding the fish trapped in such a world that led her to start this project. By continuously observing fish through a camera lens, her firm understanding about the fish in the tank was forced into changing, reversing her early feelings of negativity regarding the fish, and giving birth to positivity and equilibrium. These photographs came out of experiencing the power of art by taking a closer look and using one's imagination.
