Insho Domoto "The Image of Prayer: Seeking Truth"

This event has ended.
At Insho-Domoto Museum of Fine Arts
Media: Painting, Furniture, Ceramics, Other

This exhibition will focus on the Buddhist paintings that Insho Domoto made during his life. Domoto felt deeply connected to Buddhism and left behind many works befitting temple spaces, not least his Kannon paintings. His last work was "Zendou Great Teacher" with its Amida Buddha motif. Further, specially loaned for this exhibition by Joufukuin, Shikisan, sliding door paintings, kasaya stoles and vases will all be included, introducing Domoto's Buddhist expressionism in a multifaceted and three dimensional way.
