Toshiyuki Masachika and Masaharu Sakaue, friends since their school days, have maintained their long relationship partly by their work with photography.
Masachika's photography permeates the overwhelming decay of trees in the winter, a quiet force compelling you towards his work. However, in Sakue's color prints the photograph seems to have been drawn by light, full of delight and fresh vigor.
The "Lento" of the title is a Italian musical notation term denoting slowness.
