This event has ended.

Since his days of studying sculpture at university Keisuke Yamamoto has come to produce a body of paintings which shift between the line of 3D and 2D, building up a textured relief through the multiple layering of paint. With motifs of mushrooms, women and plants his approach is one of primitive elegance and in this exhibition of 10 drawings and 3 paper sculptures he grapples with questions of ethnicity, identity and globalization with a title drawn both from the taro potato which is grown across the world, and the commonplace Japanese male name “Taro”.
