Akira Otsubo “The Hidden Secret of Her”

Participating in KG+, a side event of Kyotographie International Photography Festival 2014, Gallery Unité presents Akira Otsubo’s first exhibition after two years of study in the Czech Republic on a government scholarship. Otsubo’s works pursue modern themes including relationships between oneself and others, the recognition of memory and images, and latent memories of places. On this occasion, Otsubo exhibits “The Hidden Secret of Her”, a set of lithograph prints composed with Czech portrait photography, and “The Bedroom”, a series of monochrome photographs Otsubo has been working on continuously since going abroad.
