Yukio Imamura was born in Ise, Mie prefecture and currently resides in France. When at the age of 16 he began to paint his exceptional skill was well noted but in 1977, feeling a certain discomfort working in Japan he decided to move to France where so many artists of his own generation had gathered. While traveling between France and Japan he built up a notable career, from which 60 works have been carefully selected for this exhibition.
