“Living and Furnishings of the Momoyama Era”

The shogunate of Hideyoshi Toyotomi marked a blossoming of a vibrant culture, coming to be known as Momoyama, a reference to the peach trees which were planted around his castles. This exhibition provides an insight into the the culture and everyday living of that era through decorative Kodaiji gold lacquer ware and folding screen paintings depicting the lives of common people.
