This event has ended.

The Osaka Electric Tramway, which became Kinki Nippon Tetsudo, started operating between Uehonmachi Station in Osaka and Nara Station with the current-day Kintetsu Nara Line in 1914. Connecting Osaka, Nara Prefecture, Kyoto, Mie Prefecture, and Aichi Prefecture, the Kintetsu is Japan’s largest private railway. This exhibition traces the history of the Kintestu, explaining how it became both a means of transportation for people in the Kinki region and a wide-reaching network. With passenger tickets and a variety of other documents and materials, visitors are offered a glimpse of the historical circumstances and the lives of people affect by the railway.
