Akane Ukon’s works have featured animal motifs since her university days, but recently she switched to focusing on people. Despite her earlier aversion to portraying them, she found that slowly the boundaries between people and animals became blurry. These silkscreen prints show unique and eye-catching scenes of daily life in country towns.
