Hatsusaburo Yoshida is known for his panoramas of modern landscapes. As this year marks the 130th anniversary of the artist’s birth and the 60th year since his death, the Sakai City Museum presents a number of works from its collection showcasing Yoshida’s special techniques of landscape mapping used in the Showa era. These nostalgia-inducing works transport the viewer back to this while offering fresh reflections for those born in later eras.
