The eighth exhibition focused on the Raku family tradition of tea ware ceramics dating back to the Momoyama period (1573-1615) presents the works of 14 members who worked during the postwar era, a time of tumult and resurgence. These artists came of age in the late-1960s and 1970s, when Japan changed significantly amid rapid economic growth. This period deeply influenced each of the artists, transforming their perspectives and values. Observe in their works how they traveled down their own roads to independence, confronted society and their own spirits, and were shaped by the times they lived through.
