This event has ended.

Last year was the Port of Kobe’s 150th Anniversary. This exhibition showcases the work of artists such as Ryohei Koiso, Yuzo Saeki, and Shikanosuke Oka who departed this port for Europe to extend their studies in the pre-war period, and Western style painters who were active in Kobe such as Yoshiro Amitani and Isao Nishimura. On display is also Renoir’s famous “Jeune Femme à la Rose” and works by contemporary artist Shibakawa Toshiyuki (b.1966), as well as oil paintings, watercolor paintings, and sketches by painter Kazu Nagao from his trips abroad.
