Presenting masterpieces of Tamba ware, a ceramic art dating back more than 800 years that originated in one of Japan’s six great ancient kilns. It was influenced by practitioners of Tokoname, Atsumi, and other ceramic arts from different parts of the country. This exhibition reflects on Tamba ware’s history while looking to its future with works by recent artists.
