Kato paints over watercolors with egg tempera in works questioning the essence of painting; Maetani uses natural and artificial light in self-made devices that produce works reflecting on humans’ fundamental relationship to imagery. Here they present new works: Kato’s recent egg tempera paintings and Maetani’s first photographs produced with a UV printer.
