This event has ended.

This exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the death of Tsunetomi Kitano is the artist’s first major retrospective in Osaka. Born in Kanazawa, Kitano came to Osaka at age 17 to become an artist. He earned a reputation as a “devilish” painter for the bewitching qualities of his early works, yet matured to deepen the interior expressions of his work and achieve a mature style of understated elegance.
