Claire de Virieu’s work tells about a journey born of her passion for nature and Japan. To begin, graphic landscapes evoke an “imaginary Japan”. They prepare for an encounter : this one occurs in Nara, where the link to nature, both intimate and sacred, is like an answer to the first impression. Mountains, forests and mosses, waves and waterfalls, vegetation merging with mineral, telluric forces are within reach – all nature is given to the eye of the traveler.
