Ayako Matsumura uses the tapestry weaving technique of “tsuzure-ori” to create “flesh / second skin”, the effect of which is similar to thickly applied oil paint on a canvas. She uses SNS sites such as twitter and facebook to publicize these textile reproductions for the “other” virtual self.
