Throughout the passing of time, Lake Biwa has always remained unchanged. Pinhole photography captures what moves and disappears, what stays and remains, and takes in the flow of time. Together with light, water, and sound, a sense of that which continues to exist is conveyed, in the form of an installation, in one of Kyoto’s traditional machiya houses.
