This event has ended.

Between 2011 and 2014, Naoko Tamura made photographic records of the disaster stricken areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Bojena Horackova, a Czech-born film-maker based in Paris who experienced Chernobyll, had begun to think about Fukushima. The two artists met in the spring of 2014, and embarked on a journey together. The exhibition’s theme is the memories surrounding post-earthquake Fukushima, and presents flower arrangements by Atsunobu Katagiri, a master of Japanese flower arrangement who was based in Minamisouma city, Fukushima, a video installation, and photographs which are being shown in Japan for the first time. With the passing of time, memories of the earthquake change and gloss over. Meanwhile spring comes again, with the opportunity to consider once again the meaning of life.
