With digital photography, parts with excess exposure appear totally white. That reduced and detatched white looks as though it may connect to another world. Digital photography converts the world into numerical data, and through the moniter it turns into light (RGB), and on inkjet prints it turns into color (CYMK). Landscapes that evaborate into the excess exposure of light do not appear as ink on paper through inkjet printing, it is simply revealed as plain paper. Wouldn’t this mean that it is not a photograph, but simply paper? By capturing light (past reality), paper (the present) and the detatched quality of white along the same lines, this exhibition offers the viewer new ways of perception.

*This exhibition part of KG+ Kyotographie satellite event.
