This exhibition features a short film piece in which the artist listens to the beating of his heart and strikes a piece of meat in time to his heartbeat, conveying the difficulty of communicating this sound and the fact that he is living through the striking of a non-living piece of meat. Nobuaki Itoh repeats this performance several times throughout the course of a year, as a document of physical aging and as an act that exposes the process of deterioration, from living to non-living.
