The English astronomer John Herschel first coined the word “Photography,” which derives from the Greek words “photo” which means “light”, and “graph” which means “representation by means of lines” or “drawing” - together meaning “drawing with light”. Through his works, Yukio Fujimoto enquires what is created through the power of light.
