Insho-Domoto Museum of Fine Arts
Museum in The Arashiyama, Kinkakuji area
The Insho-Domoto Museum of Fine Arts preserves and displays the works of Insho Domoto (1891-1975), the great Nihonga painter. Insho's works that varied in style (from traditional Japanese paintings to abstract art) influenced successive Japanese painters. Insho himself designed the museum's exterior and interior in 1966.
