Museum in The Kyoto Kita-ku area
This museum is dedicated to the works of Nihonga painter Insho Domoto (1891-1975). Insho's works, which ranged from traditional Japanese paintings to abstract art, was hugely influential among successive Japanese painters. Insho himself designed the museum's exterior and interior in 1966, and opened to the public in 1992.

From JR Kyoto Station, take the bus and get off at Ritsumeikan Daigaku-mae stop. The venue is a 5 minute walk from there.
