Museum in The Greater Kyoto area
The museum has a collection of over 1000 works including lacquerware, textiles, Japanese and western style paintings, and contemporary sculptures. The permanent exhibition has approximately 100 of them on display and exhibited items rotate on a seasonal basis. The museum's highlight is the Impressionist painter Claude Monet's Water Lilies series.

Note:If Monday is a National Holiday, the museum will be open on Monday but closed the following Tuesday. Closed for the year-end holidays. The following dates will be closed in 2007 due to installation: 6/19 (Tue), 9/19 (Tue), 12/11 (Tue).
Fee
Adults ¥700, College - High School Students ¥500, Physically Challenged ¥300, Junior High - Elementary School Students Free. Special Exhibition Fees may be charged separately.
