From its base in a red brick harbor warehouse in Osaka Harbor, Osaka Arts-Aporia is engaged in presenting and researching the hard questions - aporia - of contemporary art. Artists, researchers and art managers are involved independently in various activities at Osaka Arts-Aporia, including visual art, Sound Art and the Arts-Aporia Library. Since starting in the autumn of 2000, the institution has had the objective of creating an environment that fosters the deepening of contemporary art activity on an individual basis.
