The Tatsuuma-Honke Brewing Company, known for its White Deer Sake, founded the Sake Memorial Museum in 1982 to preserve living artifacts and the history of sake-making for the next generation. Destroyed in the Kobe Earthquake, the building was later renovated to incorporate parts of the Meiji-style architecture of the original building. The museum currently hosts two special exhibitions in the spring and fall, ranging from calligraphy to crafts.
