Atelier Waon
Event Space in The Namba area
Atelier Waon opened on March 17th 2007 as an alternative space with assistance from Osaka's Chikko ARC and Yokohama's Boat People Association.
The space is currently run by an eight-member staff, and is open everyday of the week. Atelier Waon encourages young and up-and-coming artists to take a prominent role in enhancing their careers by offering an exhibiting place that is free of charge. In addition, the space plans and produces other art-related events such as live painting sessions at parks, public cleaning, and events that take place on the penthouse of historical buildings.
