Kiyomizu-dera
Temple or Shrine in The Kyoto Higashiyama-ku area
Located halfway up Otowa Mountain in the eastern district of Kyoto City, Kiyomizu-dera is a historic temple that was established in 778, pre-dating the establishment of Kyoto as the capital of Japan. Kiyomizu-dera (the temple of clear water) takes its name from the waterfall which flows within the temple complex, fed from a mountain spring. In 1994, it was recognized as an UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.

From the Central exit of JR Kyoto Station, take the #206 bus towards Higashiyamadori Kitaoji Bus Terminal or #100 bus towards Kiyomizudera Ginkakuji and get off at Gojozaka. The venue is 10 minute walk from there.
