The Kampo Museum's collection mainly consists of the 20,000 Chinese calligraphy resources from the Qing Dynasty. Resources on more ancient forms of scripture in China, such as oracle bone scripts, ornamental tiles, etc are also available for viewing. Torahs, hieroglyphs, early Japanese text books, African and Oceanian masks, and wooden sculptures are also on display. The permanent collection exhibit displays the history of Chinese characters and their formation rooting from the oracle bone scripts.

Note:If Monday is a National Holiday, the museum will be open on Monday but closed the following Tuesday. Closed during the winter (12/1 - End of February).
