Akarenga Museum

The building that the houses Akarenga Museum was originally built in 1903 to store the explosives of the Maizuru Marines. Today, the building is recognized as one of Japan's oldest red brick buildings. The museum hopes to share Maizuru's culture and its unique array of red brick architecture.

15 minute walk from Higashi Maizuru Station on the JR Sanin line; From Higashi Maizuru Station, take the Kyoto Kotsu bus and get off at Shiyakusho-mae. The venue is a 5 minute walk from there.
