Located near Osaka Castle Park, this museum introduces the cultural and historical treasures of this ancient city. The highlight is the full-scale reproduction of the Naniwanomiya Palace, the seat of government in the 7th century and the original architecture but the foundations of which no longer survives.

Note:Open on a public holiday Tuesday but closed the following day. Closed during the New Year holidays. Closes at 20:00 on Fridays during special exhibitions.

Adults ¥600; University and High School Students ¥400; Junior High and Elementary School Students free; Senior Citizens of Osaka and Registered Disabled Free. Special Exhibition Fees may be charged separately.
