Museum in The Namba area

The Japan Folk Art Museum (Nihon Kohgeikan) was established in 1950 to preserve, develop, and recognize traditional handicrafts (Mingei). At any given time and date, Japanese craftsmen produce traditional handicrafts that are both beautiful and utilitarian. Thus, the museum hopes to educate visitors the importance of the Mingei culture in Japan.
