The Namikawa Cloisonne Museum of Kyoto is housed in the former residence of Yasuyuki Namikawa, a famous Cloisonne artisan during the Meiji and Taisho periods. The museum has preserved the main architecture including the artist's studio and kiln (both of which have been recognized as national cultural treasures), and a garden designed by Jihei Ogawa. At the museum, visitors can experience Namikawa's studio environment, which has been preserved respective to its original condition, along with his cloisonne works.
