The Okanoyama Museum of Art Nishiwaki lines up with Japan's standard time zone's longitude of 135 degrees E, and at latitude 35 degrees N, it also divides Japan into its northern and southern parts. The museum carries work by Tadanori Yokoo, an artist from Nishiwaki city, and the building has been designed by architect Arata Isozaki. In June 1984, the building was completed and the museum opened its doors in October of the same year.
