"When Flowers Bloom -Monet and Renoir to Etsuhiro Suda and Kyoko Sawanobori" Exhibition

The theme of the exhibition is "flowers." Approximately 100 works of paintings, sculptures and ceramics will be on display. In addition to Monet's "Waterlilies," Yoshihiro Suda's wooden sculpture with the same title will be on display (inspired by Monet).
Paintings by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Maurice de Vlaminck, Bernard Buffet, Takeshi Hayashi, Tessai Tomioka and Shiko Munakata, and ceramic works by Kanjiro Kawai will also be presented. The exhibition also features works by more contemporary artists such as Yoshihiro Suda and Kyoko Sawanobori.

須田悦弘氏の木彫の『睡蓮』、昨年、大阪の国立国際で見ましたが、その精密さと質感(木で作られた花)が印象に残っています。
会場の大山崎山荘美術館も広大な庭園と安藤(忠雄)建築があり、一日楽しめます。歴史ある本館のカフェ・テラスからの眺めも美しいです。休憩にオススメ。
