This event has ended.

The Silk Road has connected the Mediterranean and Eastern Asia where many cultures and civilizations have been formed. Japan is located at the final destination of the road, and a sensitive Buddhist culture was born through the humid climate and abundant nature.
Hirayama has actively covered this area through a research trip visiting various places located on the Road. The exhibition features 11 pieces depicting India, Central Asia, China and Japan, which are locations where Buddhism flourished. In addition, 51 sketches and 63 in-process works during the composition of "Ko-jyokasonmin Kibokuzu" (Image of Castle Town Villagers Returning to the Farm) will be on display.
