This event has ended.

Sho Kato was born in Himeji, Hyogo. In Kyoto he studied ceramics, in hopes to reproduce "Yohen Tenmoku," a legendary Chinese ceramic technique that dates back from the 5th century. In 1994, one of his works was purchased by the British Museum, and since then he has won awards in France, Italy and Belgium. Kato has created rice bowls and finger bowls, as well as more conceptually oriented objects, and has donated approximately 190 pieces to Himeji city. In this exhibition, the museum has selected around 100 works that represent Kato's career as a ceramic artist.
