This event has ended.

6 young gallerists in their 20s and 30s feature a select range of anticipated artists in an original exhibition.
A gallerist not only runs a gallery space but also undertakes the important work of raising the reputation of artists and promoting them through various platforms, in the role of a manager. They function as to uncover artists of hidden talent, polish them and send them into the art world, with the complexity of the current art scene and art market, artists increasingly come to focus on their production and leave the gallerist to manage the rest.
This exhibition places a spotlight on the important role of the gallerist, their diverse perspectives on art and their ability to offer up their own unique message through the artists they choose to manage. Here through the approaches of 6 gallerists we come to gain a wider understanding of art beyond merely the artist and the art work and gain an insight into the vital presence of the gallerist in Japan’s art scene.
