Japanese culture attaches a variety of meanings to the act of drinking. This means that sake vessels are not simply utilitarian pots, but tools for communication between people. A variety of sake vessels have been developed in Japan, deepening relationships between people and enriching their daily lives. This exhibition showcases around 200 sake cups, bottles, and other items from the late Edo period to present.
