Exhibition that follows how Japan’s most notorious 16th century warlord, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, invaded and conquered the Chugoku region, from where he went on to unify the country after a long period of devastating wars. The exhibition looks at the most significant acquisitions during the Chugoku invasions, including Harima and the castles at Kozuki, Miki, Tottori and Takamatsu, through contemporary documents and illustrations, as well as the correspondence of other provincial warlords.
