The 59th All Kansai Exhibition

An annual exhibition held since 1941 showcasing works from all over Japan with a focus on Kansai artists. Out of some 1000 entries received, 300 are chosen for display in a rigorous selection process. Works span a variety genres including Nihonga Japanese painting and prints to oil painting, sculpture and crafts, giving a good overview of the contemporary art scene in Japan.
