Kobe-born watercolour painter Masaru Horie began his artistic career painting landscapes and plants, but as the son of a pastor became intrigued with the subject of human weakness portrayed through characters in the Bible, which he continued as his primary theme until his death in 2013. This retrospective exhibition will feature some 100 of Horie’s works, including some of his early and posthumous pieces.
